I am delighted by your interest and enthusiasm to enroll at W.L. Bonner College, one of the premier Pentecostal institutions in the United States. For over thirty years, W.L. Bonner College has prepared students to proclaim Christ. Our highest goal is to equip individuals with the Word of God and strong Christian values, empowering them to be both salt and light through biblical, vocational, and general education.
Our programs are designed for both traditional and non-traditional students, enabling each individual to reach their God-given potential through in-person and online learning. Students may pursue certificate, associate, or bachelor’s degree programs. We are honored to assist students as they navigate admissions, academics, advisement, and field services. While our initial focus was on serving those able to commute to campus, we have now established a robust online presence to meet the needs of learners in the information age.
As we continue to advance this institution’s mission, vision, and purpose, it is clear that the landscape of theological education is changing. While a theological degree may not always secure traditional employment, it has the power to bring healing to communities, foster love and justice in a chaotic world, and inspire transformational change within organizations. Dr. Daryl Forehand is the son of James and Dora Forehand. He is the son-in-law of the late great Apostle Henry Ross. He has been married to Lady Kathy Ross Forehand for over 41 years. They have three sons, Daryl Jr., Cedric, and Henry. Dr. Forehand was born in Clermont, Florida, and graduated from Clermont High School. He joined the United States Navy and was honorably discharged after four years as a Petty Officer Second Class. In 1983, he earned an Associate of Science degree in Computer Engineering Technology. In 1986, he received an Associate of Arts degree in Systematic Theology and a Bachelor of Arts in Bible. In 2010, he earned a Master of Arts degree in Ministerial Leadership and a doctorate in Organizational Leadership and Educational Leadership. Daryl Forehand’s doctorate was conferred on him on September 30, 2020. He spent over 30 years as a Commission Investigator, Correctional Consultant, Correctional Counselor, Probation and Parole Officer, and Chaplain with the Florida Department of Corrections.
Dr. Forehand served as President of the Police Athletic League in Lakeland, Florida, and was a former nominee for Lakeland City Commissioner. He was Vice-President of the Bishop Henry Ross Bible Institute and previously served as an Adjunct Professor at W.L. Bonner College and Polk Community College. His diverse experience also includes roles as a firearms instructor, defensive tactics instructor, field training officer, marital counselor, and teacher.
He has been a dedicated pastor for over 41 years and has served as a Diocesan Bishop for fifteen years. As a District Elder, he spent 12 years on the Board of Presbyters. For 15 years, Dr. Forehand served as both Recording and Corresponding Secretary under the Executive Secretary of the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ. He is a former Dean of W.L. Bonner College and served as Chairman of the International Board of Bishops. Notably, he played a key role in establishing and overseeing two bishops, two dioceses, fourteen churches, and fifteen thousand members in Rwanda, Africa. Dr. Forehand currently serves the Church of our Lord Jesus Christ as the Vice Presider of Operations and Interim President of W.L. Bonner College in Columbia, South Carolina.
