Withdrawls
Students who find it necessary to withdraw from a course or from the College must complete the official withdrawal process through the Office of Academic Services and Registrar. Failure to officially withdraw may result in academic penalties, financial obligations, or grades being assigned in accordance with institutional policies.
Withdrawal requests must be submitted by the published withdrawal deadlines outlined in the Academic Calendar. Tuition adjustments or refunds, if applicable, will be processed according to the College’s refund and billing policies.
Students are encouraged to speak with Academic Services and Financial Services prior to withdrawing to understand the academic and financial impact of their decision.
For additional information regarding withdrawal procedures, deadlines, or refund policies, please contact the Office of Academic Services and Registrar.
WITHDRAWL POLICIES
W. L. Bonner College withdrawal policies outline the procedures and implications
for students who choose to (or must) withdraw from courses or the college,
including deadlines, grade impact colleges, and financial considerations.
General Withdrawal Procedures
- Initiation: Students typically need to initiate the withdrawal process by contacting the Registrar’s Office. By filling out a withdrawal form class/and obtaining necessary signatures from faculty.
- Documentation: In some cases, especially for medical withdrawals, students may be required to provide documentation from a healthcare provider to support Their request.
- Deadlines: Withdrawal deadlines vary based on the circumstances. Students should be aware of these deadlines to avoid receiving failing grades. For example, if students withdrawal within the noted semester calendar grading periods students will receive a “W” or “WP.”
- Grade Implications: Withdrawing from a course may result in a withdrawal grade on the transcript (WF), does affect the GPA. Also, students should be aware that excessive withdrawals may impact their academic standing and inability to return to college.
- Financial Considerations: Students are often responsible for tuition and fees associated with courses they withdraw from, especially if the withdrawal occurs after the add/drop period. Refund policies may vary, and students should consult the financial office for specific guidelines.
Specific Circumstances
WLBC Students must submit a written request for withdrawal, and extraordinary circumstances may require approval; they may receive non-punitive grades under certain conditions (someone in The Registrar’s Office will assist with this).
